What Is ISLAM?
Islam--which means "willing submission to GOD"--begins with knowing GOD, for why would I choose to submit to that which I do not know?Who is GOD?
Yet, is it even possible for human beings to really know GOD?
Islam teaches that this is possible, provided it is GOD who tells us who HE is, so we don't make up things about GOD.
In His various revelations to humankind, GOD informs us that HE is the CREATOR of everything that exists, as well as the MAINTAINER and PROVIDER for everything that exits:
